A cats life

I know. Long time no post. I'm a cat. Get over it.

The black cat in the house seems to want to get along with me. Mom offered me a taste of yogurt this morning and he came up whist I was doing said tasting and nudged noses with me. In the cat world that is normally is pretty friendly gesture. Especially since he wasn't trying to get my yogurt. I was pleased with that. I wasn't, however, pleased with the taste of the yogurt. Once again my mom is trying to fool me into eating human food that she finds good and I find, well... For lack of a better term, offensive. I stood my ground while he nudged my nose but then backed away. I didn't want any kamakazee action happening. Or whatever you call it. He then tried to come up to me again, turned a bit and rubbed his tail on me. Another sign of friendship. I'm not sure where this is going. But I guess Im ok with it. I'll just keep my eye on him for now.

Mom said I could get a kitten. I am very pleased with this news. We'll see what happens.

So I havent posted in a while. Shoot me. If you lacked apposable thumbs, you wouldn't post to much either. But then again, if squeethehearse can update his journal often, then so can I. I promise I will try. Anyway, life in the new home. Jasmyn is just as moody as ever but it quite cuddly when she's in the mood. I like cuddling. Norman is a great guy. We've been hanging out allot lately. He could easily turn out to be my best pal to date. Sebastian on the other hand, he's bent on prooving to me his superiority around here. Which I have not tried to take. I know he's king cat around here. I accept that. I'm a follower at heart anyway. He's kind of a bully, but I hope that he will come around soon enough. He's not to much of a problem... But sometimes he likes to remind me who is the more dominant one. I have a nicely healing scratch on my nose to proove that. It's fading now... Today I hung out with Norman for a while and then came out to hang out with mom and everyone else. It's getting cold outside. I love the cold.

Today mom came home and picked me up. She took my sand and box, my food and water bowl, my food, and she even got my shark! She put me in this little box and put me in the front seat so I could talk to her while she drove. We went to the vet and found out that she had made the appointment at the wrong place! Mom can be a little slow sometimes. But I still love her... She's a good servant. So, we finally found the right place. The price was a little higher than the other one but that's ok. The hospital actually kind of messed up as well. They scheduled me for something called an annual. It got something up my rear (which, was, not, pleasant...) Then a man came in and looked at me and checked my heart rate and touched my tummy... Checked my teeth... With the acception of a good cleaning he said that I was a really healthy and seemingly happy boy. He gave me a couple of shots, which werent so bad. And we were on our way. They made quite a nice deal with mom over the price because of their mess up and mom seemed quite happy about the whole thing in the end. So, here I am... In the HUGE place! Wow! There are 2 other cats. Mom says there are 3, but I havent met the other one yet. I know Jasmine already. She seems to remember me as well. Sebastian seems like a nice guy. He was a little weirded out by me at first. But mom gave us some *weed* (cat nip) and we both seem to be doing much better now... So far. I think he's an alright fellow. So far... So good.

Today my mom came by home to... Well, I'm not sure. Apparently she left her keys at home somewhere and could not get into the house. She looked at me through the window. I put my paws to the window hoping she would come in, but... She didn't. Maybe she will come back. I certainly hope so... I need love.

I have recently overheard yet another plot against me. But, I will go along with it because I haven't spent much time with my mom in the past two weeks. Or, rather, she hasn't spent that much time with me. Yes, I understand she was staying at a friends house in order to have a better chance at finding a job so she can supply me with food, toys, treats and the now and again "nip" that she so fondly gives me. I would prefer of course, to have this rolled up in paper or in a pipe, but the lack of aposable thumbs does not give me that privlage. However, I am ok with eating it. Anyway... The plan is to get me to the vet next week for an update of shots so I can make my move into a new place complete with others of my kind. Of course, this will be my chance to gather my troups together and take over the household. This will be a challenge. I've heard the house is a little big. That's ok. I can handle it. My problem will be getting said troups to adhere to my command. One of them, luckely enough for me, has been under my command before. This should proove to be most interesting. So... I will go the vet... With minimal complaint. I may be a little bitter for a while, but it's nothing a little nip and treats followed by lots of cuddle time and skritching from mom wont be able to cure. In the mean time, I await her return home for lots of cuddle time on the couch. *hint hint*

I guess it would only take time before I finally had my own little journal to keep tabs on myself with. My mom, kelgirl, made it for me after finally finding some pictures of me worth using for my icons. Anyway... This is me, and here I am. Thank you for looking at the greatness that is me... Then again, if your a cat, there is nothing but greatness about you. Don't let the dogs know about this though... Their busy licking themselves to really care anyway.
